DescriptionThis course offers a great foundation for anybody interested in a career in the art of sign making. Set in a modern workshop environment, learners are given expert tuition in both traditional techniques such as hand painted lettering, glass gilding (gold leaf), sandblasting and faux aged signs. The course also covers modern techniques such as computer designed signs, digital graphics, vehicle signage, t-shirt printing, graphic design and sign installation. The course also provides tuition on career planning and job seeking skills, as well as a separate certified module on starting your own business. All materials are supplied for this 25 week course. RequirementsAge Requirement: Applicants must have reached the current statutory school leaving age.
Aptitude: Applicants must demonstrate an appreciation of and an aptitude for art and graphics, in conjunction with good visual awareness and a flair for proportion and form.
Education:QQI Level 4 or equivalent.
