About the Cork Training Centre
The Cork Training Centre, located in Bishopstown Cork, is the main hub. It is a purpose-built structure which was completed in 1982. With a footprint of some 12000 square meters the building is situated on a site covering circa 14 acres, the building hosts 100 Cork ETB staff and 450 trainees/apprentices daily. The training provision is comprised of 35 classrooms and 25 workshops, while administration services are accommodated in 10 offices spread throughout the building and environs.
Programme types include Apprenticeship, Specific Skills Training (SST), Traineeship (provided by our own staff and designated contracted training providers), Evening Training, all of these are currently on offer in our Bishopstown centre. Qualifications provided range from QQI levels 3 to 6 on the framework, additionally we provide a range of both industry and other specific certifying body accreditations.
The training courses we offer are recognised by leading awarding institutions, and some are also QQI certified. Where required, we supplement in-house training with community training and in-house training. The majority of courses are free, and funding is available in certain circumstances.
Our overall goal is to help employers, employees, and individuals in Cork fulfil specific business and career goals.
In addition to our facility in Bishopstown, Cork Training Centre has two satellite locations in Carrigaline which house our Biopharma Training Facility and the other on Model Farm Road, Cork which is the location of our Hospitality Training Facility. Where required, we supplement in-house training with community training and in-house training.
The Cork Training Centre is under the remit of Cork Education and Training Board (CETB), funded by Solas to provide further education and training to meet the local economy’s needs.
Cork Training Centre is co-funded by the Irish Government and the European Social Fund as part of the ESF Programme for Employability Inclusion and Learning 2014-2020.
Community Training Centres are also co-funded by the Irish Government, the European Social Fund and the Youth Employment Initiative as part of the ESF Programme for Employability Inclusion and Learning 2014-2020.

Online Training Courses
Giving you the flexibility if you cannot commit to full time training courses. You can train in your own time and at your own pace in your own home online.
Cork Training Centre has been running an online testing facility at our centre for over 14 years.
The purpose of the facility is to allow both internal & external clients access to all available International online exams from all Major companies ie. Microsoft, CompTIA, Oracle, VMware & Cisco to but name a few.
We have upgraded and expanded our facility in order to meet the specifications major exam delivery platforms.
We are an authorised test centre for the following providers:
In Bishopstown, we have an onsite canteen that provides hot meals for breakfast & lunch as well as hot/cold beverages, sandwiches and snacks.
The canteen provides seating for approximately 250 people.
The canteen in Carrigaline provides hot/cold beverages, sandwiches and snacks and can accommodate 45 people.
Ample Car Parking for all learners.
