Why Cork Training Centre?

A vast range of full and part-time training programmes are available at the Cork Training Centre in our large Bishopstown facility, in the Biopharma Training Facility in Carrigaline, in the Hospitality Training Facility on the Model Farm, and in select other locations across Cork City & County.

There is ample parking at the facilities for all learners. There are canteens in Bishopstown, Westside and Carrigaline.

We provide a wide range of training programmes, including apprenticeships, day courses, solely online courses, courses in information technology, as well as courses for the hospitality sector. We also offer a number of business and administration courses, as well as courses in engineering, health and welfare, and beauty therapy.

The training courses we offer are recognised by leading awarding institutions, and some are also QQI certified. Where required, we supplementin-house training with contracted or community training. The majority of courses are free, and funding is available in certain circumstances.

The Cork Training Centre is under the Cork Education and Training Board (CETB) remit, funded by SOLAS to provide further education and training to meet the local economy’s needs.

Cork Training Centre is co-funded by the Irish Government and the European Social Fund.

Community Training Centres are also co-funded by the Irish Government, the European Social Fund and the Youth Employment Initiative.
